Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

Job Type: Full-Time

We are a well-established CPA firm seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to become an integral part of our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, has a strong accounting background, and takes pride in providing exceptional support to both clients and coworkers.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Process payroll and prepare payroll tax filings.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Organize and maintain client and office records.
  • Provide administrative support to the CPA team.
  • Answer phones, greet clients, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Assist with tax season preparation by organizing client documentation and supporting the tax team.
  • Handle a variety of office administrative tasks to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks required.
  • General accounting experience required.
  • Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax preparation.
  • Basic understanding of individual tax preparation preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while collaborating as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
