Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant operations by overseeing daily activities, ensuring efficient team performance, and maintaining high service standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and addressing customer concerns to contribute to a smooth and successful restaurant environment. Reporting to the Owner or Franchisee, the Assistant Manager typically works flexible shifts within standard business hours and manages a single restaurant location with minimal travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the restaurant team to maintain high performance and morale
• Control inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
• Schedule staff shifts to meet operational needs and ensure adequate coverage
• Train new and existing staff on procedures and customer service standards
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong skills in customer service and staff supervision
• Experience in inventory management and scheduling
• Proficient in conflict resolution and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Knowledge of food safety standards and team leadership
