Heavy Machinery Operator

Our client is looking for skilled, dependable Heavy Machine Operators who take pride in operating equipment safely, efficiently, and professionally. You will be running heavy machinery and building the infrastructure that powers your community.

Essential Duties:

• Operating heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently
• Excavating trenches to required grade and depth
• Loading and moving materials
• Backfilling and compacting excavations
• Fine grading and finish work
• Installing underground utility systems
• Reading stakes and grade information
• Working around existing underground utilities
• Inspecting equipment before each shift
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning
• Reporting equipment concerns immediately
• Working closely with field crews to maximize production
• Assisting Laborers in developing equipment skills

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• OSHA 10 Certification (required before hire)
• Demonstratable heavy equipment experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Strong work ethic
• Positive attitude
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work safely around crews
• Ability to work outdoors year-round
• Reliable transportation
• Dependability
• Desire to continue learning
