Findon and Associates is a full-service CPA firm located in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. We serve a diverse range of individuals, corporations, and partnerships, with expertise in accounting, tax services, payroll, and business consulting.


We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. This position will oversee and provide services related to accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.


Requirements:

  • A strong background in financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Software, QuickBooks or Karbon software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in bookkeeping, accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably in public accounting.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and track general ledger accounts to produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for a variety of clients
  • Review the work of junior accountants.
  • Oversee, train, and prioritize team workloads to ensure assignments are completed within established time frames.
  • Prepare, process, and file Forms 1099.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
  • Perform financial analysis and research related to financial statements and recommend improvements to clients.
  • Communicate professionally and demonstrate motivation, ambition, decisiveness, initiative, and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in all matters.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
