Primary Function

This position contributes to the company’s success by having a thorough understanding of setting up, operating and maintaining heavy-duty forging presses to shape, form or taper metal components according to precise technical specifications. This role ensures that raw materials are transformed into high-quality parts while meeting production targets and quality standards. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with the press crew in making open die forgings and seamless rolled rings
  • Operates forklift and manipulator (Heavy Equipment) to move materials through the manufacturing process to shape metal parts according to specifications.
  • Position heated metal pieces (billets) onto the press die using heavy equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not necessary.


Physical Requirements

  • Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 50lbs, squatting, and walking for 8-10 hours per day

Safety Requirements
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment when in manufacturing areas

Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30a
Some Saturdays
Lots of overtime!
$19 - $25 per hour (Depending on skillset)
