$19 - $25 per hour (Depending on skillset)
Primary Function
This position contributes to the company’s success by having a thorough understanding of setting up, operating and maintaining heavy-duty forging presses to shape, form or taper metal components according to precise technical specifications. This role ensures that raw materials are transformed into high-quality parts while meeting production targets and quality standards. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with the press crew in making open die forgings and seamless rolled rings
- Operates forklift and manipulator (Heavy Equipment) to move materials through the manufacturing process to shape metal parts according to specifications.
- Position heated metal pieces (billets) onto the press die using heavy equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience helpful but not necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 50lbs, squatting, and walking for 8-10 hours per day
