We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time Nut Former to join our innovative aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of set-up procedures, hot forging, and cold forging techniques. This position plays a crucial role in producing high-quality aerospace-grade nuts and fasteners that meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and maintain nut forming machines and equipment
- Perform hot and cold forging operations to produce aerospace-grade nuts and fasteners
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain optimal performance
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections on finished products
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Document production data and maintain accurate records
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nut forming or related manufacturing role
- Proficiency in set-up procedures for nut forming machines
- Extensive knowledge of hot forging and cold forging techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
As a Nut Former, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various nut forming machines. This includes:
- Configuring machine parameters according to product specifications
- Loading raw materials and ensuring proper feed rates
- Adjusting dies, punches, and other tooling components
- Calibrating temperature and pressure settings for hot forging operations
- Monitoring machine performance and making real-time adjustments
- Performing routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment
