About the Opportunity
A growing manufacturing company/forge is seeking a Fleet & General Utility Maintenance Technician to support both fleet reliability and overall plant operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing company trucks, forklifts, trailers, and other mobile equipment while also supporting facility maintenance, utility systems, and production equipment. You'll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and helping maintain a safe, productive manufacturing environment.
Whether your background is in fleet maintenance, diesel equipment, forklifts, industrial maintenance, heavy equipment, or facility maintenance, this position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of mechanical systems while continuing to grow your skills.
What You'll Do
%CF; Perform preventive maintenance on company trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other fleet equipment
%CF; Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
%CF; Maintain facility equipment, building systems, and general plant utilities to support daily operations
%CF; Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime
%CF; Complete inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns before failures occur
%CF; Perform mechanical repairs, component replacements, and equipment installations
%CF; Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed
%CF; Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues with supervisors and production personnel
%CF; Follow all company safety procedures and properly utilize required PPE
%CF; Assist with additional maintenance projects and plant support activities as needed
What You Bring
%CF; 2-5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, diesel equipment, forklift maintenance, industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or heavy equipment repair
%CF; Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
%CF; Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
%CF; Welding experience required
%CF; Electrical troubleshooting experience required
%CF; Ability to prioritize multiple repair requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
%CF; Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
%CF; High school diploma or equivalent work experience
%CF; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial manufacturing environment
