Job Description
Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides occupational therapy services to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life
Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Provide therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety
Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
Supervise COTAs as applicable
Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Job Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current OT license in good standing in the state of Florida
Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations
Strong communication and documentation skills
