About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to our residents at Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess residents, administer treatments, monitor respiratory conditions, and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' respiratory conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans

  • Administer oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and other prescribed respiratory services

  • Provide tracheostomy care and support residents with complex respiratory needs

  • Monitor residents' progress and notify the appropriate clinical team members of any changes

  • Maintain, inspect, and properly operate respiratory equipment

  • Educate residents, families, and staff regarding respiratory treatments and equipment

  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation

  • Follow all federal, state, facility, and infection-control policies

  • Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

  • Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Massachusetts

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program

  • CRT or RRT credential required

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred

  • Experience with tracheostomy care and respiratory equipment preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
