About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care to our residents at Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess residents, administer treatments, monitor respiratory conditions, and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
Assess residents' respiratory conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Administer oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and other prescribed respiratory services
Provide tracheostomy care and support residents with complex respiratory needs
Monitor residents' progress and notify the appropriate clinical team members of any changes
Maintain, inspect, and properly operate respiratory equipment
Educate residents, families, and staff regarding respiratory treatments and equipment
Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
Follow all federal, state, facility, and infection-control policies
Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Massachusetts
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
CRT or RRT credential required
Current BLS/CPR certification
Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred
Experience with tracheostomy care and respiratory equipment preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
