We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our team at Oyster Bay Manor/Harbor House, a premier assisted living community in Oyster Bay, New York. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care.
Job Summary:
As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for distributing required medications, enriching the lives of residents by supporting them with patience and kindness, and maintaining accurate records of medication distribution. You will work closely with our pharmacy, families, residents, and management staff to ensure seamless communication and care. We are looking for energetic and compassionate individuals who can provide high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
• Distribute required medications to residents in a timely and accurate manner
• Provide emotional support and assistance to residents, enhancing their overall well-being
• Maintain regular communication with the pharmacy, families, residents, and management staff to ensure continuity of care
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all distributed medication, adhering to strict DOH and HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Previous experience pouring medication is required
• Knowledge of assisted living policies and procedures is essential
• Ability to follow directions and protocol after training is crucial
• Must be vaccinated
