We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Landmark of Itasca (2). As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing excellent care and services to our residents, focusing on customer service and preserving their independence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including bathing, hair and nail hygiene, dental and mouth care, dressing/undressing, and positioning

  • Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner

  • Report all changes in resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse immediately

  • Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions, as well as other daily living activities

  • Ensure incontinent residents are clean and dry

  • Support/Assist residents in preparing for activities/social events

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a GED or High School Diploma

  • Must have and maintain an active searchable Certified Nursing Assistant certification in accordance with the state in which the facility resides

  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five pounds

  • Must meet health assessment requirements set forth by the policies of this facility and the state

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for an extended period of time, bend, squat, kneel, and bend frequently

Working Environment:

  • May be subject to the exposure of infectious waste, diseases, and conditions

  • May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues

  • May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals, including tobacco smoke

  • May be requested to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
