Senior Engineer – Bay Area

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior Engineer to join our talented and diverse technical team. This customer-facing role will bring critical technical know-how to build customer trust, advance sales, and provide technical expertise directly to customers and in collaboration with our global team. This hybrid-role is based in the San Francisco Bay area and the Senior Engineer would support business throughout the West Coast.

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Lead technical support for our customers by working closely with our global sales and field-deployed global technical service teams.
  • Be a trusted technical expert to our customers and establish and maintain positive relationships with key technical contacts and decision makers at our customers
  • Own and drive the on-time completion of customer activities, including leading technical calls with customers, managing customer samples, and experimental support for the customer opportunities they own
  • Understand and implement coating application approaches on a variety of customer samples in customers’ production lines with our field-deployed technical team
  • Communicate technical advances internally with other members of the company and be able to engage customers on the details of our products
  • Establish relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers to expand actnano’s capabilities and address customer needs
  • Frequent travel to visit customers on site in the Bay area is expected, with additional international and domestic business travel (15-20%) expected.


Who We Need

Our ideal Senior Engineer will possess the following experience and skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience supporting customers in the electronics industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience with the application of coatings and manufacturing processes is preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 per year, with the final offer determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location, where applicable.
