As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll help residents regain communication, cognition, swallowing function, and independence while improving their overall quality of life.
You'll provide individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEvaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Perform bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, dietary services, social services, and families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicare, state, federal, and facility requirements.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
Educate residents, caregivers, and staff regarding communication and swallowing strategies.
Promote the highest level of resident independence and quality of life.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current California Speech-Language Pathologist License (or eligibility)
Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are encouraged to apply
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for working with older adults in a skilled nursing environment
