Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Solderer for our client. This job is responsible for assembling and soldering printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in a manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to identify electronic components, and adherence to quality standards to ensure accurate and reliable assemblies.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components including capacitors, resistors, transistors, ICs, and related electronic components.
  • Verify component orientation and polarity according to printed circuit board reference designators and assembly drawings.
  • Read assembly drawings and utilize Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify customer part numbers and assembly requirements.
  • Verify thru-hole component values and confirm correct placement locations.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
  • Utilize assembly tools and equipment necessary to complete final product assembly including hot glue, clipping, masking, and related production equipment.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy throughout the assembly and soldering process.
  • Communicate quality concerns or process issues to team leaders.
  • Suggest ideas and process improvements when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience with production assembly or soldering processes preferred; training will be provided as needed.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards preferred.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, motivated, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and operate production equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, stretching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for handling small electronic components.
  • Good vision required for component identification and placement accuracy.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Work performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with frequent interaction with team members.
  • Training will be provided on production equipment and processes.
