ELECTRICAL SERVICE TECHNICIANPosition Summary

Clark Electric is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Electrical Service Technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems for commercial clients. This position requires strong technical knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to clearly communicate repair recommendations to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose electrical issues and present repair options to clients.
  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, motors, devices, breakers, meters, and service equipment.
  • Troubleshoot branch circuits, feeders, and electrical components.
  • Perform service upgrades and equipment relocations.
  • Complete work in accordance with NEC, local codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Identify and report additional repairs, deficiencies, or recommended upgrades.
  • Complete required service documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Electrical Service Manager.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of commercial electrical experience.
  • At least three years of electrical service experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, permits, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, blueprints, and plans.
  • Experience with EMT, GRC, and MC cable preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with electrical hand tools, power tools, conduit benders, lifts, trenchers, and related equipment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, reach overhead, push, and pull for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders, operate lifts, and perform overhead work.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, balance, and color recognition to perform electrical work safely.
