Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time or PRN Opportunity in Asheville, North Carolina

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in helping our residents improve their ability to perform daily living activities, maximize independence, and enhance their quality of life.
About the Role:
As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide skilled therapy services to our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the OT
• Providing occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, ADL training, adaptive equipment use, and functional mobility tasks
• Documenting residents' treatments, progress, and response to interventions in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding residents' progress and recommending modifications to treatment plans when appropriate
• Educating residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home safety techniques to promote continued independence
• Adhering to facility policies, professional standards of practice, and all state and federal regulations
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current and valid certification/licensure as a COTA
• CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
