Mechanical Systems Assembly Specialist
Job Description
Do you enjoy turning exploded-view drawings into real, working assemblies? Do you take pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and teamwork? At W. H. Leary, we’re looking for a Mechanical Systems Assembly Specialist to support production and operations by building, preparing, and moving mechanical components and finished goods.
What you’ll tackle- Learn and navigate our parts, sub-assemblies, and raw materials library.
- Assemble mechanical systems following manufacturing instructions and exploded-view drawings.
- Stage and prepare components for additional assemblies or repairs.
- Ensure every product meets company standards—no compromises.
- Suggest improvements to instructions and drawings; flag discrepancies in instructions, drawings, or bills of materials.
- Keep inventory counts accurate and up to date.
- Perform quality inspections on incoming and finished parts.
- Package finished products for shipment to customers.
- Background in manufacturing, assembly, or related hands-on work.
- Mechanical aptitude with excellent hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Comfort using common tools and measuring equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- 2–5 years mechanical background.
