Location: Garner, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Friday overtime as needed)
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour
About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading employee-owned manufacturer of custom industrial equipment and engineered solutions serving customers across multiple industries. They are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their manufacturing team in Garner, NC.
This position is ideal for a skilled welder who takes pride in precision fabrication, quality workmanship, and building complex industrial equipment.
Job Summary
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for welding, fitting, and fabricating components using various welding processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum, with the ability to produce high-quality welds while following fabrication drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding using TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) processes.
  • Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum components in various positions.
  • Produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet company standards.
  • Layout, position, fit, and assemble components prior to welding.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
  • Use oxy-acetylene cutting equipment and plasma cutting equipment.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools including grinders, sanders, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Perform quality checks on completed welds and assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate material tracking and production documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Strong TIG welding experience preferred.
  • Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW welding processes.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
  • Experience with ASME or other code welding preferred.
  • Pipe welding experience preferred.
  • Additional welding certification or formal welding training is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for production documentation and data entry.
  • Mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during fabrication and welding activities.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to safely operate welding equipment and fabrication tools.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
