Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dynamic Sit-Down Forklift Operator in Canton, GA. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be responsible for safely transporting bulky raw materials using specialized extended, tapered forks, keeping production lines humming, and collaborating with a dedicated warehouse team. In a Sit-Down Forklift Operator job youll be responsible for:Safely operate a sit-down forklift equipped with extended, tapered forks to maneuver, lift, and transport large raw materials (such as corrugated cardboard rolls and heavy stacks) throughout the facility.
Load and unload trailers, transport goods to designated staging areas, and ensure materials are neatly organized.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and perform routine daily equipment inspections.
Communicate effectively with production and logistics teams to keep manufacturing lines supplied without delay.
Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift, preferably within a manufacturing, logistics, or corrugated cardboard/packaging environment.
High comfort level and precision handling extended, tapered forks for large or awkward loads.
A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Ability to stand, sit, and maneuver for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
Reliable attendance, great communication skills, and a team-first attitude.
Competitive pay rate of $18 - $20/hr, depending on experience.
