Job Description
Job Duties
All phases of RF and microwave pallet amplifier and amplifier module assembly including large component and SMT soldering to IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 standards, coax, cable and wire prep and assembly to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, and rework to IPC 7711/21 standards. Assembly and inspection of assemblies and subassemblies under a stereo microscope. Small scale mechanical assembly using basic hand tools and torque drivers. Basic electrical continuity testing as needed, and other related tasks as required.
Skills and Requirements
Ability to hand solder, to the above standards, transformers and large transistors down to 0603 and QFN-sized SMT components. Ability to use small tools including very fine point tweezers and soldering irons.
Willing to do both repetitive and wide-ranging work on a moment's notice, all while following stringent quality policies. Must be able to read BOMs, PCB prints, assembly instructions, and follow strict ESD protection rules. Must be motivated, meticulous, and read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work on a flexible schedule.
Assemblers with previous RF amplifier assembly experience are highly encouraged to apply. All applicants chosen for an interview will be required to take a soldering skills test. Before hiring, all individuals must demonstrate that they are currently eligible to work in the United States and may be required to pass a background check. No sponsorships are available. Pay is DOE. RFMPT is a non-smoking facility and a drug-free workplace.
