Class C Maintenance Technician
Shift: Multiple Shifts Available
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class C Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in industrial maintenance while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced Class A and Class B Mechanics.
The Class C Maintenance Technician will support preventative maintenance activities, equipment reliability, and facility operations while developing valuable mechanical skills. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and continued learning, successful team members will have opportunities to expand their knowledge, take on additional responsibilities, and advance within the maintenance department.
Responsibilities
Perform routine lubrication tasks, including greasing bearings and lubricating slides, chains, doors, cylinders, and other moving equipment components.
Assist Class A and Class B Mechanics with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance projects.
Identify and communicate potential equipment issues and preventable maintenance concerns.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
Practice and follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Change and maintain equipment filters, including oil, water, and air filters.
Assist with drain cleanouts and general facility maintenance tasks.
Perform basic facility handyman duties and repairs as needed.
Assist with conveyor belt changes, including wire mesh belts, plastic belts, and cleat track systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area before, during, and after completing maintenance tasks.
Support the maintenance team with daily activities to reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability.
Maintain proper communication through the chain of command.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic mechanical knowledge or previous maintenance experience preferred.
Willingness to learn and develop additional mechanical skills.
Ability to safely use hand tools and perform basic maintenance tasks.
Ability to follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Must have open availability to support operational needs and assigned shift requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or production environments.
Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
Familiarity with lubrication, conveyors, filters, and basic mechanical repairs.
Experience working around industrial equipment and machinery.
Strong willingness to learn and grow within a maintenance career path.
