Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler performs electro-mechanical assembly of machines and
sub-assemblies, ensuring quality, precision, and adherence to engineering specifications.
We're looking for someone who
%CF; Has a high school diploma or equivalent
%CF; Is able to read, interpret, and work from engineering blueprints and sketches
%CF; Is familiar with a variety of mechanical and production concepts, practices, and procedures
%CF; Has experience using a wide range of hand and power tools
%CF; Understands production machine capabilities and assembly processes
%CF; Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks effectively
%CF; Is comfortable making minor fitting and adjustment decisions within established guidelines
%CF; Works well in a team environment and communicates clearly and professionally
%CF; Is fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
%CF; Demonstrates strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
What you'll do
%CF; Perform electro-mechanical assembly on machines, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
%CF; Adjust, trim, and fit parts to moderately close tolerances
%CF; Verify materials are correct and adequate before beginning work
%CF; Follow sketches, blueprints, and technical documents to complete assemblies
%CF; Make minor procedural decisions in fitting and adjusting parts within established guidelines
%CF; Ensure quality control of assembled components and finished products
%CF; Become proficient in assembling at least two machine models
%CF; Learn final alignment and machine run-off procedures prior to shipping
%CF; Recommend process or design improvements to engineering when appropriate
%CF; Assist in training new assembly team members
%CF; Work under general supervision and support production goals
%CF; Maintain a clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment
%CF; Perform other duties as assigned
Physical requirements
%CF; Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
%CF; Must be comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods
%CF; Must be able to bend, reach, and use hands and fingers for detailed assembly work
%CF; Requires strong close vision for precision tasks
%CF; Must be comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to
electrical components
%CF; Must be comfortable working in a moderate noise environment
