They practice with varying levels of autonomy, from independent to supervised practice, focusing primarily on direct patient care without on-call duties. Their role includes medication management, patient education, and coordination of care while maintaining accurate electronic health records and promoting overall health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments and clinical diagnoses
  • Develop and implement treatment and medication plans
  • Manage patient medication and monitor therapeutic outcomes
  • Educate patients on health conditions and preventive care
  • Coordinate care among multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records
  • Promote health and wellness through patient counseling and education
  • Provide timely follow-up care and reassessments
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in practice
  • PA license (MI)
