Family Law Attorney (0-5 Years Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Family Law Attorney with 0–5 years of experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to build a meaningful practice handling divorce, custody, support, and related domestic relations matters in Massachusetts courts.

Responsibilities

· Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, paternity, and modification/contempt matters

· Draft pleadings, motions, financial statements, separation agreements, and parenting plans

· Appear in Massachusetts Probate and Family Court for hearings, pretrial conferences, and trials

· Conduct client consultations and manage an active caseload with professionalism and empathy

· Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and conciliation when appropriate

· Conduct legal research and stay current on Massachusetts family law statutes and case law

· Collaborate with paralegals and support staff on case preparation

Qualifications

· J.D. from an accredited law school

· Active member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar (or eligible for admission - those sitting for the July 2026 bar will be considered)

· 0–5 years of legal experience; family law experience preferred but not required

· Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive, high-emotion client situations with compassion

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

· Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and case management software (Clio)
