Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Summary: A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking to add a mechanical maintenance technician to its existing maintenance team. This position requires high-energy individuals to be able to accommodate the fast-paced environment at the warehouse. You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance of web winding rollers, pneumatically actuated components, pumps, and motors. You will be expected to be on a rotating on-call basis in addition to your regular shifts.

Job Duties:

%CF; Take direction from the maintenance manager regarding the preventative maintenance schedule of the plant

%CF; Replace bearings on motors, pumps, rollers, etc... as needed

%CF; Diagnose electro-mechanical machine problems with guidance from the maintenance manager

%CF; Act on maintenance items as requested through the maintenance work order request process

%CF; Document maintenance changes and work done

%CF; Weekend availability for preventive maintenance

Required Skills:

%CF; Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

%CF; 2 Years of experience working with motors and pumps

%CF; 2 Years of experience working with pneumatically actuated machine components

%CF; 2 Years of experience working with sealing o-rings

%CF; Experience with lathes and simple non-CNC machining

%CF; Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions

%CF; Ability to communicate professionally in a concise and accurate manner

Physical Requirements:

%CF; Ability to routinely walk up and down multiple flights of stairs

%CF; Ability to work in confined spaces

%CF; Ability to lift 125 pounds unassisted

%CF; Ability to stand for most of the working shift

Useful Qualifications:

%CF; Experience in a manufacturing setting

%CF; Welding experience; TIG, Stick, and MIG

%CF; Soldering experience
