Robert Half is looking for an experienced real estate attorney to join a well-established legal team in Minnesota on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level attorney who can confidently manage sophisticated commercial real estate matters and provide practical legal guidance across complex transactions. The role offers the chance to contribute to a collaborative practice environment while supporting clients through critical property-related and corporate deal activity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead legal work for commercial real estate transactions from initial structuring through closing, ensuring documents and terms align with client objectives.

• Examine title materials, surveys, and related property records to identify risks, resolve issues, and support successful transaction execution.

• Conduct and assess environmental due diligence findings, advising clients on potential exposure and appropriate legal considerations.

• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, amendments, closing documents, and other transaction-related contracts.

• Partner with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to move matters forward efficiently and address issues as they arise.

• Provide legal insight on matters involving mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures when real estate assets or obligations are part of the transaction.

• Support a high-volume practice by managing multiple active matters while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and sound judgment.

• At least 7 years of legal experience handling commercial real estate transactions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of title review, survey analysis, and broader real estate due diligence processes.
• Experience evaluating environmental reports and advising on related legal risks in property matters.
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex real estate agreements and closing documentation.
• Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, or divestiture work is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities independently in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Juris Doctor degree and qualifications required to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
