School-Based Physical Therapist - Los Alamos, New Mexico

This contract position runs from mid-August through late May, centered around providing specialized care to three students—a kindergartener, a 5th grader, and a 6th grader. Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• Current NMPED license necessary.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized goals and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement physical therapy interventions for three students.
• Record progress notes and maintain compliance with all required documentation.
• Provide consultative services to school teams and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Offer guidance and instruction to educators and families on supporting students’ progress.
