Server

Position Summary

The Server provides warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service to guests from greeting through farewell. This role is responsible for hospitality, menu guidance, order accuracy, table maintenance, pacing, and teamwork with the bar, kitchen, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.
• Explain menu items, specials, beverages, allergies, and preparation details accurately.
• Enter orders into the POS correctly and communicate modifications clearly.
• Monitor tables, refill beverages, clear items, course meals, and anticipate guest needs.
• Work collaboratively with hosts, bartenders, runners, bussers, expo, and managers.
• Follow alcohol service, food safety, payment, and company policies.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous serving experience preferred, especially in full-service or upscale casual dining.
• Strong hospitality mindset, communication, dependability, and teamwork.
• Ability to learn menu details, POS system, service standards, and allergy protocols.
• Alcohol service certification may be required by company policy or local regulation.

Physical and Schedule Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and peak service periods.
