About the Role:
Angels R Us Kidz Academy in Chicago, IL is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood development
- Supervise and engage toddlers in structured and free-play activities
- Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing regulations
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of DCFS licensing requirements and early childhood best practices
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Illinois state regulations
- Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching and caregiving
