We are an architectural metalworking company in Philadelphia seeking a someone looking for a career as a full-time metal fabricator/installer of railings, stairways, gates, balconies, and all miscellaneous and ornamental ironwork.

Job duties include:
Reading shop drawings and generating cut list.
Cutting metal with band saw, ironworker, shear, etc and organizing single parts for assembly.
Beveling drilling, milling, or swaging single parts.
Fitting and welding single parts into secondary and main assemblies.
Grinding and polishing secondary and main assemblies

Finishing duties include:
Prepare assemblies for painting by washing, blowing off dust or debris and removing metal spatter.
Priming and spraying with HVLP system.
Cleans and maintains and troubleshoots painting equipment to ensure proper operations.
Conducts quality inspections and prepares finished material for delivery.

Installation duties include:
Installing railings, stairways, doors, gates, balconies, windows, fire escapes, structural steel and miscellaneous ironwork in both commercial and residential environments. Applicant must be knowledgeable in various installation methods, and have knowledge of safe working practices. Framing, finish carpentry, and rigging experience not required but is a plus.

This position requires at least 2 years experience fabricating, finishing, and installing architectural metalwork.

This position requires a drivers license, and a clean driving record.

This position is best suited for someone who is able to work at height, and operate boom and scissor man lifts.
