Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic calendar accurately
- Verify patient insurance information and process co-pays and billing
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist clinical staff with patient intake, vital signs, and rooming patients as needed
- Answer multi-line phone systems, triage calls, and relay messages to appropriate staff
- Ensure exam rooms and common areas are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; medical assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or urgent care setting preferred
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical billing practices
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-centered demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced urgent care environment
- Basic phlebotomy or clinical skills a plus
