Staff Accountant

6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Staff Accountant in Alpharetta, GA. This role sits within a fast-growing, high-visibility Finance team, offering direct exposure to senior finance leadership and a broad range of accounting responsibilities. The position owns key pieces of the monthly close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis, along with recurring processes like fixed assets, indirect tax, and payroll accounting. It's a great opportunity for someone early-to-mid career who wants ownership and variety rather than a narrow, siloed role. The company is scaling quickly, so there's plenty of room to grow alongside the finance organization.

• Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries and own balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
• Analyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analyses for management
• Maintain fixed asset schedules, indirect tax filings, and payroll accounting support
• Serve as a primary contact for audit requests and support tax automation processes (Avalara)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger and month-end close knowledge
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tabs and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
