RemX is seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Reimbursement & Dispute Resolution Specialist for a growing healthcare organization. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, claims processing, healthcare collections, insurance reimbursement, or accounts receivable.
Location: Houston, TX 77018
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire
The ideal candidate enjoys investigating payment discrepancies, analyzing complex healthcare billing documentation, and communicating with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to ensure accurate resolution of payment-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), remittance advices, and payment documentation.
- Determine payment responsibility and identify required actions for dispute resolution and billing activities.
- Research healthcare claims, reimbursement details, and payment records for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare professional written correspondence related to invoices, payment postings, fee collections, and refunds.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and health plans via phone and email to obtain necessary documentation and payment information.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and outstanding payment issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation for all resolved and refunded disputes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, internal policies, and established procedures.
- Monitor assigned cases and meet required deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare claims, revenue cycle management, accounts receivable, reimbursement, collections, or a related healthcare administrative role.
- Strong understanding of EOBs, insurance payments, claims adjudication, and reimbursement processes.
- Experience reviewing healthcare billing and payment-related documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
