Auto Mechanic

Mygatts in Aransas Pass, a family-owned and operated business, is seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to join our team. This role offers stable weekday hours and involves working on a variety of vehicle repair projects with a focus on general repairs and specialized systems. The ideal candidate will have experience using advanced diagnostic equipment and general automotive tools to maintain and repair vehicles efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and advanced computer tools
• Conduct engine repairs and brake system maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical vehicle systems
• Replace parts as needed and ensure quality repairs
• Interact positively with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in automotive repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge in engine repair, brake systems, diagnostics, and electrical systems
• Strong customer service skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
