Direct Care Professional - Weekends/Part Time - 28213

Job Location - 28213 ZIP CODE - Charlotte University Area

Duties: Provide direct care services to clients in a residential setting. These services are in the form of training and assisting with health care needs to whatever degree is necessary. Training covers a broad area and includes such entities as activities of daily living, vocational opportunities, leisure activities, behavior management and assisting with outings. This position must be attentive to carrying out programs accurately and appropriately; capable of intervening with clients who are agitated or out of control and capable of monitoring the environment for safety concerns. Maintaining written records related to the behavior of the client under his/her supervision, assess the progress of the client in their assigned programs and communicate information to co-workers in other shifts.

Education/Experience Requirements: Graduation from High School or GED. Must be 18 yrs of age.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Skilled ability at CPI (Crisis Prevention & Intervention Course), First Aid, CPR for Adult and Child, Bloodborne Pathogens and Medication Administration. Ability to report orally and in writing knowledge of emotional needs of individuals. She /He must have the ability to communicate effectively.
