Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of field project management, including oversight of employees, trade partners, vendors and suppliers. This role involves close collaboration with the Safety Manager, General Superintendent, Supervisors, Project Engineers and Project Administrators. The Project Manager ensures the accurate monitoring and maintenance of project schedules, jobsite documentation, cost reports, billing, employee time, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of construction project engineering and/or project management experience (required)
- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
- Familiarity with local permitting, inspections, and building codes
- Strong experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Education does not substitute for required experience
Skills
- Team leadership
- Multitasking & delegation
- Proven knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety (HIOSH)
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
Software
- Autodesk Forma (or similar project management software)
- Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
- Bluebeam Revu
- Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Preferred
- Hawaii construction experience
- Hawaii residents
