Duty Location: Wiley Post Airport (KPWA), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Are you an experienced paramedic looking for something beyond the traditional ambulance environment?

Air EMS is seeking highly motivated Nationally Registered Paramedics (NRPs) to support the U.S. Marshals Service JPATS. This unique position places you aboard fixed-wing aircraft providing emergency medical support during federal prisoner transportation missions throughout the United States.

This is not routine EMS. Every day brings a new destination, new mission, and new challenge.

What You'll Do

As a JPATS In-Flight Paramedic, you will:

  • Conduct pre-flight medical screenings of detainees before transport.

  • Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care during flight when medically necessary.

  • Assess, stabilize, and manage in-flight medical emergencies.

  • Coordinate with flight crews, federal law enforcement personnel, dispatch, and medical direction.

  • Complete accurate patient care documentation.

  • Maintain readiness of assigned medical equipment and medications.

  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing training.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program.

  • Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification.

  • Minimum three (3) years of ALS transport or equivalent emergency medical experience.

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PHTLS (or approved equivalent trauma certification).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearance.

  • Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one.

  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and independent decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Air medical transport experience.

  • Critical care transport experience.

  • Military or federal medical operations experience.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).

  • Flight physiology or aviation medicine training.
