Tax Associate


Overview


This opportunity is with a growing public accounting firm based in the Independence market serving closely held businesses and entrepreneurial clients across a variety of industries including construction, real estate, investment advisory, nonprofits, and professional service providers. The firm is continuing to grow through strong client referrals and is looking to add a Tax Associate to support expanding client needs and long-term succession planning within the practice.

Responsibilities


• Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations

• Conduct tax research and summarize findings to support decisions on client-specific issues

• Help manage client documentation and information, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Participate in client meetings to understand their tax situation and gather necessary information

• Assist with responses to various tax authorities on client tax matters and audit inquiries


Qualifications


• 1-3 years of tax experience

• CPA or actively working toward completing the CPA designation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


What This Role Offers


• Salary $75,000-$85,000+ based on experience
