Job Title: Dental Milling Technician in a Dental Lab

Salary: 25-35 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Milling Technician to join our growing dental laboratory. In this role, you will operate CAD/CAM milling equipment to manufacture high-quality dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and other prosthetic components. The ideal candidate has experience with dental milling systems, a commitment to quality, and a desire to learn new technologies. Experience or cross-training in additive manufacturing (3D printing) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain dental CAD/CAM milling machines to produce high-quality restorations.
  • Prepare, load, and process materials including zirconia, PMMA, wax, and other dental materials.
  • Inspect milled restorations for accuracy, fit, and surface quality before moving to the next production stage.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, cleaning, and tool replacement.
  • Monitor production schedules and prioritize work to meet customer turnaround times.
  • Troubleshoot milling equipment and collaborate with technical support when needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow laboratory quality standards.
  • Work closely with CAD designers, production technicians, and laboratory leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating dental CAD/CAM milling equipment in a dental laboratory.
  • Familiarity with dental materials such as zirconia, PMMA, wax, titanium, or cobalt chrome.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality restorations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental laboratory experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dental CAD/CAM workflows.
  • Knowledge of implant prosthetics and digital dentistry.
  • Experience with milling systems from manufacturers such as Roland, VHF, or DGSHAPE.
  • Experience or willingness to cross-train in dental additive manufacturing (3D printing) is highly desirable.
