Commercial HVAC Journey-Level Service Technician — Sacramento, CA

About the Role We're seeking a journey-level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems for clients throughout the Sacramento area. This role is ideal for a technician who works independently, takes ownership of service calls, and delivers high-quality workmanship on every job.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, and controls
• Perform planned maintenance service on commercial accounts
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures
• Complete accurate service reports, time logs, and parts documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch
• Follow all safety protocols and EPA refrigerant handling regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 4–5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
• Own hand tools; company provides specialty tools/equipment
• Strong troubleshooting skills across controls, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple service calls
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and access rooftops/mechanical rooms

• Service Titan
• Experience with commercial controls/BAS systems
• Prior experience in a service/maintenance contract environment
