Job Description
This position is for a skilled nursing facility and has both short-term and long-term patients. Golfcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Houston is under new ownership and has an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads, all new equipment, and an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Helps residents by providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, and/or developmental impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Maintain expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
Monitors therapy services to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement when necessary.
Maintains patient physical therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes.
Generates revenue by recording billing information of services rendered.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policies and procedures.
Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
Serves and protects the physical therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhances physical therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Current Texas licensure as a PTA is required
