Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA)

Responsibilities:

- Place and adjust restorations
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update dental coding as necessary
- Provide assistance with patient assessment and treatment planning
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

- Ohio EFDA License
- Ohio X-Ray License

Preferred:

Knowledge of Practice Management software systems
- Familiarity with dental coding and billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Full time in person

Expected hours: Approximately 35 per week

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-5pm with lunch 1-2pm
• Wednesday 9am-2pm
• Friday 9am-1pm
• No weekends
