About the Role:

The Home Health Aide (HHA) Part Time position at Mount View Assisted Living, is designed to provide compassionate and personalized care to residents in a supportive living environment. The primary goal of this role is to assist residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who can build trusting relationships with residents while promoting their independence and dignity. The HHA will work closely with healthcare professionals and family members to implement care plans tailored to each resident’s unique needs. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering attentive and respectful care on a part-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Home Health Aide certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass background checks and health screenings as required by the facility.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in assisted living or long-term care settings.
  • Additional training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff or supervisors promptly.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all safety and health regulations to ensure high standards of care.

The required skills such as personal care techniques and effective communication are essential for daily interactions with residents, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism. Attention to detail and observational skills enable the HHA to recognize subtle changes in residents’ health and report them promptly, which is critical for timely interventions.
