CNA Certified

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and personalized care to elderly residents in specialized care units, including dementia and rehabilitation units. You will work both independently and as part of a nursing team, assisting licensed nurses by providing direct care to residents and helping to maintain a safe and comforting environment.

This position offers a 1/2 shift Baylor Night Shift from 6 PM to 12 AM, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with a shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care
• Monitor and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper assistive devices and body mechanics
• Assist residents with feeding and prepare them for meals
• Observe residents’ condition and report changes to the Charge Nurse
• Support the development of individualized care plans through accurate data collection
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs
• Follow safety protocols to protect residents from neglect, abuse, and environmental hazards

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Experience in patient care and vital signs monitoring
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Effective time management and compassionate attitude
