Student Housing Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Facilities Technician supports the maintenance and physical operations of the property. This

role ensures all service requests, preventative maintenance tasks, and Turn-related projects are

completed with a focus on safety, quality, and resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a

hands-on problem solver with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Maintenance & Repairs

• Complete work orders promptly, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance
• Support unit inspections and prepare apartments for move-in and Turn season
• Respond to maintenance-related resident requests with professionalism and urgency

Preventative Maintenance & Inventory

• Assist with implementing and maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule
• Ensure common areas, grounds, and amenity spaces are maintained to brand standards
• Track and submit purchase orders for maintenance supplies and inventory

Team & Vendor Coordination

• Work closely with the Facilities Manager to support vendor selection and oversight
• Assist in supervising third-party contractors during repairs, projects, and Turn
• Participate in weekly maintenance meetings and project planning

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA and property safety standards
• Identify and report potential hazards or property concerns to management
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and equipment serviced
