About the Role:
The Smile Company Dental Care LLC is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing team in St. Louis, MO! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a patient-focused dental practice where your skills and passion for oral health will make a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures and treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Record patient medical histories and treatment notes in dental software
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
- Provide compassionate chairside manner to ensure patient comfort throughout visits
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates welcome to apply
- Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Familiarity with dental X-rays and radiography techniques
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
