PCA OR CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

Summary

Primary function is to provide personal healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of

residence; to assist in proving a safe and clean environment, work cooperatively with patient and family

and share observations and problems with the supervisor. Works under the direction and supervision of a

registered nurse.

Qualifications

Education- High School Diploma preferred, Certification will be offered by the company at no employee cost.

Experience- At least one year experience, preferred, as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital,

nursing home, home health agency, hospice, or long term care facility or completion of Certified Nursing

Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.

Skills- Must be able to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions in English

effectively. Demonstrates interest in the welfare of ill and elderly. Must pass Aide Competency Evaluation

Skills Checklist that meets and written Skills test.

Responsibilities

%CF; Bathing, dressing, grooming, caring for hair, and oral hygiene which are needed to facilitate

treatment or to prevent deterioration of the patient's health.

%CF;Assistance with personal care and light house keeping. Personal Care Means;

%CF; Changing the bed linens of an incontinent patient.

%CF; Skincare with lotions and/or deodorant application

%CF; Assistance with meals, Light Housekeeping Means:

%CF; Changing bed linens.

%CF; Picking up and cleaning the client's care area.

%CF; Assistance with laundry.

%CF; Light vacuuming, light dusting, light floor mopping.

%CF; A reasonable amount of dishwashing.
