This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a contract position in a supportive school environment near Putnam, CT. The role focuses on delivering quality speech and language services to high school students, creating an impactful and rewarding experience for both the professional and the students served.

Ideal candidates will bring expertise and passion for supporting student communication skills, whether they are fully certified or completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The position offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and contribute directly to student development in the high school setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Connecticut as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • CCC-SLP or candidates eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year encouraged to apply
  • Previous school-based experience or strong interest in working with adolescent populations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to high school students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals
  • Conduct assessments, interpret results, and communicate findings to families and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Engage in school activities and continue professional growth
