School-Based Physical Therapist - Norristown, PA

A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Physical Therapist seeking a rewarding contract role for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will primarily serve students in the Newtown area, with travel one day per week to Morrisville/Pennsbury. Additional coverage may be needed in Carbon County and Lehigh County, providing a diverse and engaging caseload for the right candidate.

This is an in-person role, ideal for professionals with at least one year of experience working with preschool-aged children in educational settings. The schedule consists of approximately 21-28 hours per week, spread over 3-4 days, with the potential to extend into the summer.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid, active Physical Therapy licensure meeting state requirements
• Minimum of one year preschool experience in a school environment
• Commitment to fully in-person service; remote work is not available
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to travel within specified coverage areas as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students, primarily in Newtown with additional coverage assignments as indicated
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and caregivers to maximize student outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation
• Adapt sessions based on student progress and diverse needs
