What you'll bring:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (please submit proof with your application)
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Dedication to implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum to diverse learning needs
- Enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
What you’ll do:
- Design and deliver instruction to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers
- Engage families in the educational process and provide regular updates on student achievement
- Contribute actively to multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
